The People’s Alliance is an inclusive party that does not require “perfect” people to be a part of it, says leader Sitiveni Rabuka.

He said this when asked why he exited the Social Democratic Liberal Party during a campaign meeting in Qarani Village, Gau, recently.

“This is the only political party in Fiji that doesn’t discriminate people,” the former prime minister said.

“Whether you have been to prison, your image has been tainted by your past, you got terminated from work — you are more than welcome to join us.

“This is the only thing that sets us apart from other political parties — you don’t need to be perfect to be part of us.

“This is your party, come and join us.

“For us, whether you are perfect or not, we will accept you as you are because only God is perfect.”

Villagers told Mr Rabuka the only reason they supported SODELPA was because of Mr Rabuka and that support had shifted to The People’s Alliance Party for the 2022 General Election.
