The power is in the hands of the people, says Unity Fiji Party leader Savenaca Narube.

While speaking to supporters in Lautoka yesterday, he said Fijians had the right to vote for a new government if they were not happy with the current leadership.

“When you look at the Unity Fiji party you will see people that do not want to work in darkness,” he said.

“It’s time for people to go into the light and demand a government that is not corrupt.

“That power is with the people.”

He said a Unity Fiji led government would move Fiji away from military rule.

“Some of those that are in the current government and those that have led Fiji before should be in jail.

“We should lock them up.

“They should not be leading our people again.”

He added that their government would ensure the economic prosperity of the Fijian people.
